FRANK BELLAMY - NEWSPAPERS: Kettering Leader and Guardian

INTRODUCTION
Kettering Leader & Guardian 15 August 1947

Frank returned to working, in 1946, at Blamire's Studio, Kettering, after leaving the Army. The local studio gave him the opportunity to show his talents on - primarily - cartoons in both the Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph but also the Kettering Leader and Guardian ("incorporating the Northamptonshire Advertiser") where he did a run of one shot gags to accompany a gardening column "Gardening notes" by "Riston" or "Ristone" and occasional other work. His artwork here does not appear to move on in style and were it not for the accreditation it would be hard to discern Bellamy's work here - especially on newsprint. The image here shows his initials on the picture frame behind 'the chap'.
There is more research to be done in this paper!
